Guided trail hiking

Starting at $65 pp

Duration : 3 hours

Join one of our knowledgeable locals for a guided hike around various sections of Twin Rivers Wilderness. Routes include wilderness trails leading to panoramic overlooks, creeks, cottonwood groves, alder tunnels, and moose or bear habitat zones. The pace and difficulty are tailored to each group, making this an ideal activity for families and nature enthusiasts seeking an immersive Alaskan experience. Our guides will share their intimate knowledge of local wildlife, plant communities, earth science, and local history.

Policies:

  • Suitable for ages 8 and up.
  • Guests should wear sturdy hiking shoes/boots and dress in layers.
  • Muddy trail sections are likely.
  • Tours run rain or shine; weather-appropriate clothing is recommended.
  • Respect wildlife viewing distances and follow all guide instructions.

River packrafting

Starting at $275 pp

Duration : half day

Paddle your way through one of our very remote sections of the flowing Anchor River in a guided pack rafting adventure. Alaska pack rafting is not for everyone, dry suits will be fitted and worn, and occasional strenuous paddling is required (primarily to avoid fallen trees). The access hike in is very steep, often slick, with fallen trees and loose gravel, all while carrying your river gear in supplied dry pack. After suiting up at the riverbank, Glide between gravel bars and forested banks, with opportunities to spot salmon, bears, and bald eagles.

Not for inexperienced beginners with no river experience.

Policies:

  • Minimum age 12; all participants must be able to swim.
  • Life jackets, dry suits, packrafts, and drybags are provided.
  • A mandatory safety and paddling orientation precedes every trip.
  • Trips may be rescheduled due to river conditions or weather.

guided berry picking

starting at $95 pp

Duration : 90 mins

Savor Alaska’s wild bounty with a guided berry-picking walk through open meadows and forest edges bursting with blueberries, salmonberries, and crowberries in season. Your guide will help identify edible species and share insights into traditional uses by Alaska Natives and early settlers.

Policies:

  • Berry varieties depend on seasonal availability (typically mid-July to early September).
  • Guests should bring small containers for collecting berries.
  • Respect for the land and sustainable foraging practices are emphasized.
  • Bear awareness briefing provided before departure.

ATV Tour

Starting at $190 pp

Duration : 90 mins


Explore the backcountry across miles of forest, alder groves, open meadows, and stream crossings on a guided ATV adventure. Riders travel through varied terrain with stunning mountain and river views, encountering moose, eagles, porcupines, and the occasional bear from a safe distance. Each tour is designed for small groups to preserve the natural tranquility of the land and ensure personalized attention.

  • Trips may be rescheduled due to river conditions or weather.

guided fishing

Starting at $200 pp

Duration : half day

Experience the solitude of a private stretch of the famous Anchor River with a professional guide who knows the hidden pools and seasonal runs. Cast for Dolly Varden, rainbow trout, or salmon depending on the time of year, surrounded by untouched Alaskan scenery. 

Limited season, usually starts around July 15 or Aug 1st.

Policies:

  • A valid Alaska fishing license is required for all participants age 16+.
  • Must follow Alaska fishing regulations. Catch-and-release is required or encouraged, see regulations; some species may be harvest-restricted.
  • Equipment and waders available upon request.
  • Tours subject to river and weather conditions; guide decisions are final for safety and conservation.
